Previous Actions:

   -

Torben: Investigate GWC website - post GWC Release update (dunno?)
   -

Torben: Investigate cite wcs on the build server (still not working)
   -

Andrea: Ask on mailing list for 2.14.3 release volunteers (done)

Release

Thanks Alessandro and Andrea for doing this months release!

Need to redo GeoTools, has to point to “maintenance” instead of “stable”
(see new build parameter SERIES).

2.14.3 held up Monday by build server not working, restarted today

Aside:

   -

We may wish to talk to planet federal about changing
   repo.boundlessgeo.com to repo.geoserver.org?
   -

Request notice if there is going to be any disruption
   -

The new map on geoserver.org looks good :)

Refresh Commercial support page

We have the following pages:

   -

http://geoserver.org/support/ - support, training, list of companies
   -

   http://www.osgeo.org/projects/geoserver/ - lists core contributors
   -

   https://www.osgeo.org/service-providers/?p=geoserver - lists service
   providers

Priority:

   -

   Boundless → Planet Federal
   -

Lisasoft → Jirasoft → maybe nothing (removing from the list?)
   -

The Where Group - active as provider, bump down
   -

Envitia -> no longer supporting GeoServer
   -

Discussion consider a thanks/support page:

   -

Recognize sponsors and organizations that contribute, but are not
   interested in offering support
   -

This could capture government or civic organizations that support?
   -

   Groups like OSGeo:UK...
   -

Gaia3D? Perhaps they should be listed here lets ask
   -

Let’s make this page when there is need … no need today.

Discussion:

   -

Break into two, or three, …
   -

   TWO: Contributors, Service Providers
   -

      Approach used by OSGeo page
      -

THREE: Core Contributors, Contributors, Service Providers
   -

Allows us to promote groups that have contributed a PR successfully
      on behalf of their customer
      -

We are not interested in promoting organizations which profit from
   geoserver and do not participate
   -

Give “value” to activities that keep the project alive: releases,
documentation, user list support, stackoverflow support, ticket vetting,
monthly bug fix code sprint, yearly sprints

Idea:

   -

Core contributors (heavy code contributions but also participating in
   the other activities)
   -

   Contributors (anything else listed above)
   -

Service Providers (no participation to the community)
Consider linking to osgeo service provider list

OSGeo website integration discussion:

   -

The link lists all companies offering support, the “core contributor”
   emblem is for any project
   https://www.osgeo.org/service-providers/?p=geoserver
   -

   https://www.osgeo.org/service-providers/geosolutions/ - updated to core
   contribnutors
   -

   https://www.osgeo.org/service-providers/astun-technology/ - updated to
   core contributor

Action:

   -

Andrea take the “Idea” above to the list?

Chit chat: QA effort update

Q: Meeting time?

   -

This is a very long coffee break for Jody and Kevin, … can we go earlier
   from 8-9 am?
   -

      UTC17:00 is current meeting time
      -

      Propose UTC15:00

<https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingdetails.html?year=2019&month=3&day=19&hour=15&min=0&sec=0&p1=256&p2=136&p3=215>
      two hours earlier

QA effort update

   -

   Deprecation branch moving on
   https://github.com/geotools/geotools/pull/2309
   -

   Build with -DQA
   -

Many introduced with “plans” for folks to fix in their own time …
   -

      Example styling title and abstract
      -

      BEFORE
      getTitle()
      -

      AFTER

Optional.ofNullable(style.getDescription().getTitle()).map(Object::toString).orElse(null);

LGTM checks maybe? https://lgtm.com/projects/g/geotools/geotools/overview/

      link checker
      -

   spell check?
