Hi,
Recently I got aware of a bug with the WMTS cascading. The bug appears whenever
a url set for wmts have it's own query parameters. Those would be omitted. This
is solved by this PR:

I see there is a release going on right now, and this PR might come a little
late. But it would be nice if someone took a look at it.
When dealing with that bug, I discovered that some of the code could be cleaned
up. I have created a JIRA ticket for this.

Now I'm wondering if anyone have any feedback on this, or if I should just go
