After upgrading one of our projects I noticed that org.geotools.data.ows.HTTPClient could no longer be found; it seems to have moved to org.geotools.http.HTTPClient as part of GEOT-6755. Same thing for org.geotools.data.ows.SimpleHttpClient which was moved to org.geotools.http.SimpleHttpClient
So after adding the new gt-http module and updating the packages things worked again, apart from that we had a transitive dependency on commons-httpclient:3.1 from GeoTools that now emerged and requires some more work in our code. A note about this change, or in fact the whole new gt-http module seems to be missing from the upgrade notes; so I'll start a PR for that shortly.
