I recently proposed dropping Java 8 support for geoserver which has
solid reasons (dependency upgrades and jakarta migration) to consider
the change.
For GeoTools it is lsess clear-cut - what do you think?
We would be fine dropping/removing Java 8 support,especially when that
would enable us to move into the new Jakarta EE libraries (jaxb, mail,
hibernate 6 etc.)
