In my continuing quest to find the ideal setup with geotools and
postgis, I have another question.
I like the idea of using the dataStoreFinder, but I already have a
datasource from a jndi source (which I use for some other tasks). Is
there anyway to use my data source with the datastore finder or should
I just create a new datasource using the connection string.
You are being clear, and you are on the edge of where geotools
development is.
We are just now looking into how we can set up geotools for use with
containers ... here is an article I wrote last week:
In short you should be able to set up geotools so it uses your
datasource, right now you would do well to get a connection pool based
on your datasource and create a PostGIS datastore by hand and feed it to
the geoserver singleton.
Cheers,
Jody
