Hi,
does anyone know a straight way to transform a simple raster map into a
vector?

I mean:

00000000
00111100
00111100
00111100
00000000

into a polygon of coordinates: 2,3 2,6 4,6 4,6

Ok, the example is very easy, but I was wondering if there is already
something that does this.
I've looked at the code of r.to.vect of GRASS, which is in C, which could be
used and works fairly well, but who knows, perhaps someone already did it?

Regards,
Andrea
