Just remembered something, the directory datastore is supposed to pick up all the shapefiles in a directory and make them each available to you as a seperate feature type.

No idea if it works, I am the module maintainer but since I have never had a user for it I may just kill it soon.

Hi,

I'm trying to use geotools, but I find it very uncomfortable to view a map with many shape files, beacuas i have to locate them. Is there any standard (International Standard) XML to use so that it could find al the shapefiles ?

Hoping for an answer,
Kishenkumar Bhaggan
