I have found plenty of geocoders that interact via web services to the free ones provided on the internet. For our needs I need to work in a mobile environment where a network connection is not guaranteed and need something that can geocode locally. Are there plans to support local geocoding or does anyone have links to existing projects that support this? I have an address data file which could be geocoded but then I need a way to query that file and I would prefer to reuse existing solutions than rolling my own.
