No Hari, as of now there is no direct support in GeoTools for ERDAS
Imagine files. One of my associate is working on bridging GDAL to
GeoTools, GDAL has the capapbility to read Erdas files directly so
that could come handy.

Be a little more specific about the "esriraster format" maybe provide
a sample and I will try to help out.
