I'm not sure because I'm not yet familiar with the GeoTIFF module. The reported
error message doesn't look like a message from the referencing module. I
suspect
that the issue is related to the way the GeoTIFF module parses the GeoTIFF
header before to delegate the projection initialization to the referencing
module. As said previously, the Lambert Conical Conformal projection is already
supported for years in the referencing module...
