Geosever is not using WFS datastore because it's not working out of the box as it should.... quite pathetic, but we can cascade a mapserver, but not another Geoserver :( At the moment our priorities are elsewhere so we did not took the time to try and fix it so that we can use it. I opened a thread about this some months ago hoping our issues where a quick bug fix, but the outcome was inconclusive :( > BTW with my factory I was simply using a Map as a cache for datastores (URL > was used as key).
