Looks to be pretty soon; there is nothing anyone wants to do on 2.4.x anymore ... they are about to branch (so trunk will become 2.5.x so they can do Java 5 goodness - finally). I wonder if the move to Java 5 should be significant enough that trunk would be better named 3.0.x ?
