DB2 9 Express-C and DB2 9 Spatial Extender are now available for free download at: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/express/download.html GeoTools includes a plug-in for DB2 Spatial Extender support which can also be exploited for GeoServer and uDig applications.
