It seems that a lot of the unsupported modules are really popular; the difficulty is we were not planning on shipping them with the geotools library. Unsupported are only made available for your curiosity (and to tempt new developers info fixing them up so they can be included in part of the library). In the past we kind of just threw out this work when nobody was around to maintain it ...
However if you make use of the following: - oracle - versioned postgis - h2 - or anything else in this directory: Please speak up. We are making the 2.5.x branch and the plan was simply to remove these modules from the GeoTools download ... What would you like us to do: a) deploy the to maven? b) provide them in a separate download? c) both There is one strict limitation; any module that has not passed our license review requirements cannot be made available for download - the unsupported modules are all looking okay in this respect.
