I am working on a custom DataStore, and I got a little stuck - it wasn't clear to me how to set up my data store to use filters. I started with the PropertyDataStore example, but that seems to read the entire file instead of applying a filter to the data.
I started with Geotools 2.5.0, and I am trying to create a DataStore for an object oriented database. Is there a tutorial available that handles filtering on a data store? Or could someone briefly outline how to go about accepting and processing filters for my custom data store? I have seen a lot of messages recently about the geotools code getting redesigned in this area; is this a good time to work on this project, or should I wait until things shake out a bit?
