Hi Luong, I know you probably just want to display simple things with a minimum of code for learning/testing purposes at the moment, but I think it would be best if you followed a slightly different track...
1. Use Swing, it's easier and you'll be better able to take advantage of Netbean's super GUI building features later and understand the code that it generates. 2. Get used to thinking about world coords (the coords of your line strings or other feature types), screen coords (pixel positions), and using Geotools to translate each to the other. It's actually quite easy. Also, later on when you're working with features with real geographic coords you'll know how to handle them. For this, RendererUtilities class is your friend. Somewhere here (in the mess that is my hard disk) I've got some basic display classes that would do what you want with code that is suitable for learning. I'll ferret them out and send them to you off the list.
