Hi, I projected 1.000.000 coordinates from RT90xy (EPSG:3021, bessels, GausKruger) to wgs84 lat/lon it took 5 sec.
Then I projected 1.000.000 coordinates from wgs84 UTM 33N to wgs84 UTM 34N It took less than 1 sec. And finally I projected 1.000.000 coordinates from RT90 xy -> wgs84 UTM 33N It took about 6 sec. Why does it take so much longer time when I chance the ellipsoid? When using a Helmet 3D transtormation a rot.matrix is setup for fast converson of lat/long coord to another ellipsoid, or? Could some one explain this to me, I don't thing I understand it correctly?
