Hello, I have a big shapefile with multilinestrings. The spacial index on this file is automatically generated using the "create spacial index" option. I do lookups on this shapefile using the bbox filter. This works very well, except in certain situations.
If I do a lookup outside the area where the features are, or at some place there is a big empty area, the resulting feature collection seems not to use the index and walk trough the complete data set (which takes about 30 seconds). I am using geotools-2-5-2. I am doing something wrong? Or are there special options I need to use when building the spacial index? Or is this a bug? When I use uDig, I encounter the same behaviour when I use the Information tool.
