Glad to hear you got it working.

Just for your general info, the GeoTools modules (jars) are arranged
in groups: library, plugin, extension and unsupported.  The
unsupported group are modules that are experimental, or unfinished, or
for one reason or another haven't been brought up to the supported
state of the modules in the other groups.

The binary distribution of GeoTools don't contain the unsupported
group so, when you get import errors such as the one for JMapPane, the
first thing to check is whether the jar you need lives in there.
