Hi Fred, I think you should be working with vector features rather than a grid coverage. Your case sounds very similar to the type of data that another list member was working with recently. In that case, the geo-coords of pixel corners for the satellite image were known, so the data could be rendered as irregular polygon features, colour coded to depict values.
