Hello mbedward. My problem is, when you have a coordinate almost 180, for
example -170, 40 and you calculate the buffer, when is greater 180 calculate
the new coordinate, for example:
I have a coordinate in the point 179º42'27''W y go to east when you pass 179
the coordinate is 179º42'27''E. with the example in coordinates jts, I have the
coordinate 179 and apply the buffer the value contains coordinates with value
185.
I hope that this detail you reply my problem.

Sorry, I don't understand the question. Are you buffering a Point
object or a rectangular Polygon object ? Perhaps you could give us a
little more detail.
