first off all I know two Renderclassesorg.geotools.renderer.GTRenderer and org.geotools.renderer.lite.StreamingRenderer? Do exist where other classes? What are the difference of the Render Classes? regarding the performance? I do know the user guide but i only could find a "few" textes about the Renderer part of geotools!
