"And is there a way to specify a feature attribute before the first for loop
is entered seen as though the shape file has been indexed?"

What I mean is I need to be able to filter the FeatureCollection on
intersection and on a particular attribute equaling a String value. Or I'd
prefer to filter/query the DataSource beforehand for an attribute value.
This is because the Shapefile contains multiple polygons and I'd like to use
only one of them. From there I'd loop through my points file and check for
intersection.
