Hello everyone, I profiled JMapPane-based application using Process Monitor from SysInternals, and it turns out that it re-reads shapefile everytime when redraw is required.
In my opionion, it will be usefull for some users to have special mode, when shapefile is re-read only when layer is zoomed-in or zoomed out, map center is moved (pan tool) or such re-read is explicitly requested (forced re-read). Otherwise, some memory bitmap is only should be stretched on canvas. Can you please suggest me on that issue?
