Hi Christian The response times have improved, I am using approximately 246000 features in the shape file. I am still experimenting with different shape files though.
I have a question for you, can I use generalized shape files that have not been created by your Toolbox? We have some, e.g. roads, that are being used by other applications and I wondered if it is possible to use them with the GeoTools PreGeneralizedDataStore. If it is possible, what do I specify in the xml configuration file? What would the value of the 'GeneralizationInfo.featureName' be? I understand this is created by the Toolbox generalization process.
