Hi Arnauld,
In order to allow the WorldImageReader to properly manage your PNG file, you
also need to add a .prj file containing the WKT of the
coordinateReferenceSystem needed to refer it, as well as a .pgw file
representing the worldfile to geolocate your data.
I would take a look on the link [1] provided by Jody. In the specific, you
can read the "JPEG Example" paragraph as reference on what type of content a
worldfile and a prj file should have.
