I have nothing... Weak and Soft references are the bases of all our caching and sharing mechanisms. I don't see any quick way to make them go away, using hard references will result in OOM of the caches and memory leaks in places where the weak references are used. I guess you probably should ask the Terracotta guys. Afaik you wanted to just have the catalog shared, sharing the rest in fact does not make much sense, OGC services are stateless and a simple load balancer will do the job (past the catalog itself, that is a bit tricky to keep in synch). Does Terracotta require the entire set of objects managed by the process to be shareable?
