Hi all, thanks for the replies. I'm still not having much luck. I'm finding it very difficult because im new to programming and only understand the very basics of xml etc. Basically what i've been asked to do is to write a class that reads a gml file, and from that file creates a shapefile. This will be used in another application and written in c#
