May be a question for the user list?
A quick thing you could do today; which would get you 1/2 way there - would be
to use a function as part of your style; ie use one of the functions to grab
out a specific vertex - and then treat that as a normal Point to be labeled.
A more interesting approach would be to check if you could preprocess it into a
multi point; and ask the labelling system to accept a list of labels...
although may require some thought; and a patch.
