First, please stay on the users mailing lists, other people can be
interested too and we have the change to get useful hints.

Do you have one image layer or two ?. I am not sure that I am
understanding your problem.
Or do you have an XOR relationship between these images, meaning the
first layer covers some area and the second layer covers the rest ? In
this case you should merge all your tiles into one image.

Some info you might be interested:
The source code of the GeoRaster Plugin is here.

http://svn.osgeo.org/geotools/trunk/modules/plugin/imagemosaic-jdbc/src/main/java/org/geotools/gce/imagemosaic/jdbc/custom/JDBCAccessOracleGeoRaster.java

As you can see, the plugin uses

sdo_geor.getCellCoordinate

to get pixel values for world coordinates and

sdo_geor.exportTo

to get the image based on the calculated pixel values.

Mosaicing and cropping is done by Orace Georaster Code.
