gt-jdbc-oracle is better. everyone should use this one. gt-oracle-spatial: old implementation, deprecated wherever it exists, has been removed from trunk, will not be included in any future release. It was never well supported.
gt-jdbc-oracle: new much improved implementation, shares code with other jdbc implementations. This is NG = New Generation; main factory class is OracleNGDataStoreFactory. Many bugs fixed. Supported. Behaviour of the new plugin is pretty much the same from the user point of view.
