Yeah have a look in the docs here:

XML "transformers" basically go through a data structure and issue sax events;
someone on the other end issues the xml out resulting in an xml document.
The configuration stuff also works as an encoder; but I have not personally
tried that; I would recommend reading the test cases as an example.
