Hi Sergey,

GeoTif reading is off-loaded to JAI (Java Advanced Imaging). Because of
some licensing issues you need to install the JAI jars in your local
JDK. That kind of error (Trying to get a reader from an unknown format.)
typically means that no service is available for handling geotifs. JAI
provides that.

Get the java Advanced Imaging jars here:

general:         http://download.java.net/media/
jai             http://download.java.net/media/jai/builds/release/1_1_3/
jai_imageio    http://java.net/projects/jai-imageio/

If you are on Linux the .sh's are broken...
fix them like this:

$ sed s/+215/-n+215/ in > out

This is as good a place to rant about JAI not being in the standard maven
repos - but I'll refrain from that.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
