OK. I'm afraid that the ZoomPane class was dropped after version 2.6 because the various authors of that and related classes left the project and the swing widgets code was too hard to salvage. JMapPane doesn't handle key actions at the moment, but it would be a good idea to add some basic ones. I've just created a Jira issue for this: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-3830 I can try to look at that tomorrow (Sydney time, GMT+10) but can't promise when it will be done. Please note, the new code will only be added to the GeoTools trunk sources (version 8-SNAPSHOT) where we have been working on gt-swing actively.
