Again, just thinking loud as I have never doen anything 2.5D in geotools, but
it seems possible. Did nayone play with extrusion of 2D geometries (by height).
Just by thinking about it I found so many problems (need DEM to sit the
original geometry on the bottom, units of vertical datums and projections
handling…) there is isometric(geometry, extrusion) noted amongst the filters,
does this apply only to visualization, or it actually creates volumes?
If someone knows of another library that would help me, please, say so – or
even Postgis 2.0.
