Hi all!
Is it possible to render point layer as line layer?
In my situation, all points have "time" attribute (which impose order
on the set of point), and I would like to draw line between p1 and p2,
when time(p1) 'strictly less' then time(p2), i.e. there are no point p3
between them, such that time(p1)<time(p3)<time(p2).
Of course, I can use
org.geotools.swing.event.MapPaneListener,
and by redefining method onRenderingStopped I can analyze my layer,
sort points by time, and then 'connect the dots'. Downside of this
approach is performance and memory degradation, since I need to keep in
memory entire set of points for some time (when sorting them and
rendering).
What can I do? Maybe some out-of-the-box solution exists?
Thanks,
Sergey
