HI All,
I tried to build geotools from source code on Java 7 using Maven 3. I had
problems. I'm fairly new, not quite a newbie, to Maven so this problem could be
a lack of understanding on my part.
The problem I have is that I could not download any plugins from the remote
repositories. My local maven repository was totally empty as I am establishing
a new machine, hence Java 7 and Maven 3.
I remember reading in the devel list that there were problems with the build
using Maven 3. I couldn't find those discussions.
Could someone please enlighten me on the issue involved here? What needs to be
done to get the build working using Maven 3 on Java 7? Do the poms need to be
altered?
For what it is worth I am using Windows 7 64-bit.
