Hi Simone,
thanks for answering. I was testing it again. Removing all gt-jars and
dependencies. Then adding every single jar and testing tiff compression every
time. After adding jts.jar to the project the tiff compression doesn't work
anymore. I tried jts-1.12.jar and jts-1.11.jar. Both do deactivate the tiff
compression.
I'm using the following packages in the writer class:
jai_codec.jar (not sure about the release number - in the manifest stands 1.1.2)
jai_core.jar (not sure about the release number - in the manifest stands 1.1.2)
jai_imageio-1.1.jar
mlibwrapper_jai.jar (not sure about the release number - in the manifest stands
1.1.2)
You told me to use ImageIO tiff plugin. Is it javax.imageio.plugins.tiff? In
which package I find this one? Always when googling for it i'm being returned
to com.sun.media.imageio.plugins.tiff.
Thanks & best whishes

Albrecht

Betreff: Re: [Geotools-gt2-users] Strange behaviour of imageio ImageWriter when
importing gt 9 snapshot libraries

Ciao Albrecth,
this is rather strange.
I would recommend using the ImageIO tiff plugin explicitly everywhere rather
than the com.sun.media.imageio.plugins.tiff one.
Do this explicitly with imports of TIFFImageWriteParam, Check also the class of
your writer and tells us the complete packages for it.

I suspect you are mixing sun tiff params with our writer. Best thing to do
usually to get a proper TIFFImageWriteParam is to ask the writer to create one.
