Hi, I wonder if it is possible to make the PostGIS JDBCDataStore in Geotools 'push down' the task of re-projecting data from the datastore to PostGIS, instead of performing it on its own?
Of course, one possibility would be to duplicate tables or create view in the PostGIS database with the desired data stores, but this would mean that only pre-created projections are available. whereas if there is a possibility to do this on the fly, the possible CRSs for reprojections can be specified at runtime. basically this would mean that an ST_Transform(geom, srid) would be performed in the SELECT statement.
