Hi David,

Try looking into the *MapContent*-class and*
JMapFrame.showMap(MapContent)*for rendering and
*org.geotools.styling.Style* for styling the way these things are rendered
in the *FeatureLayer *you pass to the mapcontent with your data.

This should be enough to find the info on the geotools website.
