No volunteers have provided edit tools at present to the gt-swing module. You
can look at how tools are created and create your own edit tools (please donate
them back!).
For writing out the content have a look at the FeatureStore API, one of the
initial tutorials shows how to use it to write out or modify a shapefile.
You may also wish into a desktop application, unless of course your assignment
is to write this yourself.
