Thanks for having a look....but your Result is weird....
I tried the JMapFrame from the 1st tutorial [Quickstart],
ArcGIS 10.1, Q-GIS 1.7 & 1.8.....everywhere the coordinates were shown 
as 1/1
and no it still NOT working here...
just in PostGIs it differs...the Geomtery is empty.....
which shapeviewer you are using?
a geotools-one?
what I see as a png and the resulted shapefile from that code is 
downloadable at
http://www.uni-kiel.de/geo/java22/jav/allIc.zip
Which geotools version ar you using?
Which java Release?
Which OS?
inside my environment it went wrong

which small syntax errors you meant? [I'd shorten some comments to get 
it a bit more tiny...]
if runing the code you sent back the same results occur (after adding 
the 1st line as header)
