Hi all,

I am trying to use the WCS 2.0 range-subset support in geoserver to export
selected bands of raster data. The raster data is exposed to geoserver as a
geotools image mosaic.

The image mosaic exposes the bands as a custom dimension, which was required
by the WMS-EO extension to be able to create a bands layer.

Now it seems that the WCS 2.0 plugin wants the image mosaic to expose its
bands as actual bands, not as a custom dimension.

Does anyone have experience with such a setup?

At first sight, it seems like it might be useful if a granule in an image
mosaic could have a property which maps it to a particular band in the final
mosaic, has anyone ever considered this, or is there a better solution?

Or perhaps it is easier if the WCS 2.0 plugin could be configured so that a
particular dimension can be defined as the 'band' dimension. Would this be
feasible to implement in the current architecture?

thanks,
Jeroen
