Hi -- How did you manage to produce a 50MB shapefile? To my knowledge, the size of a shapefile is limited to 8GB, due to the use of 32 bit index pointers(!?) Or does GeoTools allow the use of 64 bit data structures in shapefiles? Or are we just talking about the size of the DBF attribute table here?
