I am completely new to geotools. I have gridded raster data (population) in a GeoTiff. I can get the grid value for a certain longitude/latitude with geotools. Fine. But how can I get the summarized value of all grid cells within a given distance around a given point ? (I know that it will not be a real circle, more a polygon depending on the grid cells' size.) I would be thankful if someone could give some ideas. I did read the tutorials. But nothing matched. Thank you!
