My first thought is that as well at lat/long, you are going to do need the date 
of the compass reading to successfully convert them to true north. You are 
going to need a function like true_north = function adjustBearing(compass,lat, 
lon, date).  This is not a simple function. I would be interested to see if 
someone has created such a thing that could be used with geotools.

Hi, list!
I'm writing a program reading a file and creating graphical objects.
I have a starting point (lat/lon WGS 84), a length (m) and a magnetic bearing 
(degrees).
I would like to automatically convert the magnetic bearing to a true bearing 
when they occurs in the file I'm reading.
Is there a converter in geotools that can be used, or is there another way my 
program can get the declamation?
