Hi, yes indeed you are correct Andrea. I'm talking about the geometry in the post-body of the GetFeature-request. There have to be a way to maintain the precision of the original geometry in order not to create invalid geometries in the request.

We are generating the request in our own software with the help of geotools and in this request (GML) the geometry differs in precision from the geometry we putting into the filter (for example org.opengis.filter.spatial.Intersects). The GeoTools client makes the request to the server which decides how to format the GML - there is nothing the client can do to control how many decimal places are in the GML, so the GML you receive is the same regardless of how the request is made - try using the URL in a browser or via curl on the command line, the result will be the same.
