Hi Paul, I've had the same problem after installing Java 9++. It's related to the nordic countries and our representation of minus.
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8214926 You can avoid it by specifying -Djava.locale.providers=COMPAT, CLDR when you start java.
