"Listen up all of you people defending maps: It's clear there are only two possible reasons you would need a map. One is obvious (pirate treasure). The second is a little more complicated, but clear enough once analyzed. You see, someone who is unfamiliar with an area needs directions, not a map. A map is designed to give specific, detailed layouts of an area that would only be needed if you needed to carefully plan a route (like for an attack or an escape). And, naturally, possession of a map means you don't want to ask directions because you don't want to draw attention to yourself or the fact that you are not from 'round those parts. So what does this mean? If you have a map, you are either a pirate or some other nefarious type. Hence, maps should naturally be illegal and anyone in possession of one should be shot on sight. It's as plain as the nose on my face."
