If "Data for Decision" is to be believed, in the 60s -- or Canadian 60s at least -- GIS analysis was done almost exclusively by women! One male at 3:06.

For another back to the future moment, also see the wonderful National Film Board of Canada film, Data for Decision. It's Roger Tomlinson introducing GIS to the world at Expo 67. With all the hype about the geoweb, the film demonstrates that little has changed fundamentally in the ways in which we
collect, analyse and display geospatial data.

Hi everyone,

I just watched a nice video on "designing the Future":
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-307353090876018425&hl=en

There is a very nice part on how a GIS could look like in the future.
The part is from 6:40 to 7:10 min. from the video start.

Watch and enjoy! :)

By the way, happy new year! :)
